Madness and Magic

Wildness brimmed beneath her placid surface; an adventurer kindling desires for open roads and dark nights. She dreamed of city lights blurring into strings of bulbs, blowing in the wind of her departure.

Windows down, music loud, thoughts louder.

Her world fell away like wasted time, and she chased the river of pavement. Burning along the road’s yellow line as if it were a stick of dynamite.

Hair blowing, sky clear, eyes clearer.

Passion-stained hands gripped the wheel, and beautiful chaos danced upon her skin. The sky wanted to fall, but she wanted to fly, so gravity released its grip on her.

Cool air, wide eyes, heart wider.

The moon held its breath as she fell off the edge of the earth. Universes expanded before her, lit up by headlights. Landscapes became dreamscapes.

She longed for open roads and dark nights.
